After graduating with two degrees (BS - Economics & BA - Business) in May of 1997 from Centenary College of Louisiana (Shreveport) I returned to Tulsa to work for National Data Corporation, a leading player in the health care transaction industry. I just completed my MBA (from Oklahoma City University) last week and am actively playing sports, most notably soccer, as I compete in three different adult leagues.

After BTW, I went on to Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, where I graduated in 1997 with a B.A. in math and religion. (yes, a strange combination, I admit.) Since then I have been teaching at a boarding school in Washington, Connecticut. I teach math, direct the drama program, and serve as dorm mother to a house full of teenage girls.

After leaving BTW, I spent 3 years in Oklahoma City University as a Religion Major. I graduated with my BA in religion in May 1996. I moved to Atlanta, GA in August 1996 and have completed the course work for a Master of Divinity degree. When I finish my thesis work on ecofeminist theology and liturgy, I will be done here. I work in the admissions office at Candler School of Theology at Emory. I hope to pursue futher studies in ASL sign interpretation beginning this Fall. The Booker T. Alumni page has put me back in touch with a couple people who I thought I'd never hear from again...it could work for you, too

After graduation from Booker T., I went to the University of Chicago, where I earned a B.A. in Biology in 1997. I spent the following year working for the illustrous Chicago Housing Authority, but I quickly realized that being a policy wonk wasn't the life for me. I escaped to the safety of a Master's in Clinical Social Work program at Loyola University here in Chicago, from which I will graduate in May 2000. I thought I wanted to be a social worker, but I am now having secong thoughts, realizing that I still do not know what I want to be when I grow up. It's good to see that so many of you are doing so well.

I am glad to see that there is some activity on this site from our class. I was beginning to wonder what happened to everyone. As for me: After graduating I joined the The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employes Local 354 in Tulsa. The IATSE is the labor union representing technicians, artisans and craftspersons in the entertainment industry, including live theatre, film and television production. I went to the North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston Salem (UNC system) and graduated in 1997 with a B.F.A in Theatrical Lighting Design. I took a job in Indianapolis and served as the Lighting Director and Production Stage Manager for Ballet Internationale. I left Indianapolis in September of 1998 and moved to New York City, where I currently am the Lighting Supervisor for Dance Theatre of Harlem. I also work as a freelance Assistant Lighting Designer for Off-Broadway and Regional Opera. If anyone is near NYC or just wants to drop me a line, I would be thrilled to hear from you.

After graduating from the "T". We attended Langston University where we joined the beautiful ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc...skee wee my sorors skee wee. Both graduated fall 98 with a B.S. in Psychology. Both working Brandi (sabre -computer hardware customer service rep.) Dawn- On-call Family Children Services shelter,The Homeplace and Quality care medical center (Insurance claims).Brandi is engaged to her college sweetheart and Dawn is living the single life. After graduating from BTW, I joined the Army and went to CA to learn Korean. I met my husband, Mike, there, and 1 1/2 years later, we had our first child, Alexandria. I got out of the Army when I got pregnant, but I'm still married to it. :-) My husband is now an OH-58D Kiowa Warrior pilot. And, I just gave birth to our second daughter, Kaitlyn, on April 23, 1999.

Let me think...after graduation I attended the University of Kansas and the University of Central Oklahoma. I eventually received my BS is Special Education with an emphasis in learning disabilities. Currently I'm teaching 2nd and 3rd grade students who have reading difficulties in Denver, CO.

I found out about this website when I was sitting at a bar in Tulsa visiting with a friend. I must say that it is weird to see what everyone is doing. I graduated from the University of Kansas-School of Journalism in December 1997. (I decided to extend my stay for just a while longer than the other folks.)Right after graduation, I lived, worked and traveld in Scotland for four months. Now, I am living and working in Denver - trying to perfect my snowboarding skills. I must say the view of the moutains beats the Tulsa heat anyday. If you are ever out my way give me a shout.

After graduating from BTW, I attended Southwest Missouri State University. College life was fun, but I missed my BTW friends, it was lonely in Springfield, Missouri. I pledged AKA my freshman year, so SKEE-WEE to all my sorors. I stayed active and help various offices. I obtained a BS in Accounting, May 1998. I moved to Dallas and I am currently working as an Accountant for FOOTACTION USA. I start by school in June for a MBA with a concentration in Taxation. I would love to hear from you.

I started working for Walgreens management for a year, then decided that was not the field for me, so I returned to Langston University to study management information systems. I went to OSU Tech in Okmulgee after graduation. I current have an Associates in Computer Systems and plan on returning to school for a Bachelors in Computer Science. I currently work in Pryor, Ok for a company called ViaGrafix. I am a CDN developer. CDN is Cd-rom networkable. We make training videos and cd-roms in most areas.

After leaving BTW, I spent several years at OU, finally getting my BA in Letters (a multidisciplinary degree - history, literature and philosophy) and minors in French and History.  I also got to spend some time in Israel, studying Hebrew and figuring out the future.  Now I'm living in the Boston area, working on my MA in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies at Brandeis University and enjoying all the stuff that makes Massachusetts different from Oklahoma (not including the parking problems!).  After the MA, I haven't made any definite plans, but life is good for now and I'm trying not to stress.   I still hear regularly from a few BTW people, but I would love to hear from anyone else who wants to be nostalgic.

After graduation from Booker T., I attended Oklahoma City Univeristy, where I finished my B.A. in Religion and minor in Spanish in three years.  In the Fall of 1996 I moved to Atlanta, Georgia to attend Candler School of Theology at Emory University.  I will finish my course work for the Master of Divinity Degree in May 1999 and will spend the following year finishing work on my Master's thesis on Ecofeminist Theology and Liturgy.   Currently I am working as part of the Office of Admissions staff at Candler and also as an intern at Circle of Grace Community Church, a feminist Christian worshipping circle in Decatur, GA.  My biggest excitement in the coming semester will be taking a class from Archbishop Desmond Tutu who is visiting professor here at Candler this year.

It's good to see that there's some technology in our schools, too!  Let's see, after graduation I flew the coop, ending up at Concordia College, Moorhead, MN (right across the Red River from Fargo, ND, for all of you not familiar with MN geography. I completed my BA in Secondary Education in 1997 (runs in the family, I guess) and am currently certified to teach Spanish in grades 6-12.  The high point of undergraduate life:  1 year study abroad in Buenos Aires.  Now I'm working on a Masters in Hispanic Linguistics at the U of Minnesota, Minneapolis.  It's nice to be back in a city after my stint in Fargo/Moorhead, but I miss not having as much snow to shovel and play around in. After exams/graduation (hopefully this June), I'll be applying for teaching jobs in Mpls. or St. Paul, or working at the Archaeology/Historic Preservation firm I'm currently part-timing at (while teaching a night class to pay off the student loans, of course).  Feel free to drop a line if you're headed up to the Cities, or any time for that matter!

I graduated in 1993 and am attending the University of Oklahoma as a National Merit Scholar. I am currently an Astrophysics major, though for a year and a half I was an Aerospace Engineering major. I really haven't heard anything from any of the other people who graduated with me, and I would appreciate any information anyone had on them.

Although I did not attend B T 'Dub' in 1993, I have a lot of old friends that did. I lived in Tulsa for a long while and moved away to Atlanta in 1990. I have been trying to reach many of my old friends in Tulsa, just to say hello and to see what's going on with them. I'm glad a stumbled upon this website. Looking at the 1993 class photos brought back lots of memories of old friends for me.

Hello to all. Not sure what to say here... For those who are interested here it goes, I guess: Ok--- after graduation I fled Tulsa. I moved to Albuquerque, NM and graduated from UNM in May, 1997 with a B.A. in Psychology (by the way-- I have a published paper floating around out there if anybody is dying to read it-- it's in the International Journal of Psychoneuralendocrinology June 97). I moved to Denver and dicked around for a year and then moved up to Summit County to work at Keystone Resort for a season. I moved to Milwaukee, WI in March of that year -- by this time 99-- because I thought I was going to end up marrying my boyfriend from college. I lived in Milwaukee until Nov. 99, leaving to come back to Colorado and work at Keystone, again. After the season ended I moved back to Denver and went to DU College of Law from 2000 to 2003. During this time I met my current boyfriend -- in Tulsa of all places, you may or may not know him, his name is James Nicholson, he didn't go to high school in Tulsa or anything. So-- I have been trying to pass to Colorado Bar for a couple of years-- I took some time off from it, but took it again this summer. James and I are currently living up in the mountains close to both Breckenridge and Keystone Resorts. I work for Breck in the winter as a snowboard instructor, but will hopefully start practicing law shortly. I guess I would like to ride with anybody who is in my area (Summit County) --I'm easy to find, I work out of the Village at Breck.

Hey Class of 93! Just randomly found this website. Didn't go to the reunion-guess there was a bunch of us slackers, huh? Or so it sounds from other postings.

Anyway after I left Booker T. I went to Southwestern Oklahoma State University and got a Bachelors in Social Work. Went back to Tulsa and worked in nonprofit agencies for a while. Moved to Dallas in 2002, and got a Masters in Social Work from University of Texas at Arlington December 2005. I am currently working as a nephrology social worker with patients that have been diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease.

From the looks of it......I'm about 8 to 9 years late (reosting)....let's see if I can play catch up....After graduating, I attended Langston University....graduated w/ a degree in Sociology. To make a long story short.....I have been working in the social service field for about 8 years total...I'll get burned out....leave.....and eventually return...I am currently residing in Arlington, TX...and I love it......I have a 5 year old daughter who I ADORE!!! I was a participant in the 10 year(mini-reunion)....we had to do something.....lol.. 2008 will be 15 years for us.....but I don't believe we celebrate that.... do we?? Anyway, would love to hear from any/all classmates!!! We need to discuss fundraisers and mixers(during the holidays) so we can have a REAL 20TH REUNION!!!! I LOVE YOU CLASS OF 1993!!! PEACE!!!!

Wow, just wandered upon this website and was so pleasantly surprised to see names that I recognize...and so glad that you are all doing well. Well, what I've been up to...After graduating from Booker "T", I attended Duke University and majored in Biochemistry and Neurobiology (yawn!). For three years after that, I did research on neural development and considered medical school. Instead, I started a photography and video production company that specializes in product photography, high fashion, and modeling, serving companies in the RTP and aspiring models and actors in the coastal areas (think Dawson's Creek and One Tree Hill). Hey everybody it's me Ken(Yonna)! I'm glad to see representation from '93!! Just a bit about me...I currently reside in Beggs but remain a true HORNET!!!...after graduation I attended TCC seeking a degree in Criminal Law of which was changed to Marketing/Business Administration. I've been married for 12 yrs (dang that's a long time) Love it! and I have a beautiful daughter who is active in cheerleading and basketball.

hi, my sister Septembra McQuarters graduated with this class. And i will say that i liked this class (from what i remember, since i was young) but, yes "sep" is doing well and i know she misses the class of 93!

I saw a Booker T. Class of '94 grad on a plane from Tulsa back to Atlanta on New Year's Day and thought I would see what was going on with Booker T. class of '93 folks. I am still working at Emory University, now doing financial aid. I never finished my thesis (which I mentioned in previous posts), but I did graduate in 2002 with an MDiv. My husband and I have a 2 1/2 year old son. We're already looking into an IB primary years program for him so I hope he is interested in following in my footsteps in that regard...though I am sure his school would not have anyone as exciting as Dr. Talley teaching Theory of Knowledge!

I currently live in Cordova, Tn.
I graduated from the University of Memphis (GO TIGERS BASKETBALL) with an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering Technology and a graduate degree in Education.
I teach Algebra I at a local high school and at a community college here.

I have been married for 12 years with two children.


I hate I missed the first class reunion but I will be ready for the next one!
