I had a good time at the 15yr reunion, only 1 of 7 white folks that made it. Didn't hear a thing on the 20th, I guess we just had to much fun to be invited back. Met up with Kevin Berry at the reunion and have been close bro's ever since. I would like to help get something going for the class of 80, since I'm semi retired and have way too much time on my hands...

bow Hi Kate McCoy! I'm sure you don't remember much about me but I recall vividly how much I enjoyed your smile. My memory eludes me, I'm unsure of what classes we had together. I was a baseball jock hanging out with the Northsiders, Bobby D., Jeff W. Joey S. PeeWee. We all lived vicariously through sports and had little time for anything else. I do remember how nice you were to me. I hope I was as courteous to you! Anyway, It's cool to see your posts on Dan's upgraded BTW site, and yes the class of 80' was special!

Thanks.

Yes I remember you. I have not been to any of the reunions and don't keep up with any of my classmates. I moved from Tulsa in 1985 and really haven't been back since.
I'm going to try to go with my sister this summer to the class of '79 reunion.

Tom Pat,
Is Mr. Irwin keeping a low profile b/c of security or he doesn't like us anymore? Confused

No wonder you`re all mixed up. You got a white man`s 1st name, a Spanish man`s 2nd name and a black man`s 3rd name.

CoffeeBobby D.
I ran into Marty a month or two ago. He is currently working graveyard as a detective for TPD. He is heavily involved in his son's baseball team. Apparently he is pretty salty on the 'ole mound and has a wicked fast ball for a 12 year old. He looks older, but he's the same 'ole Marty! The next time I seem him I'll advise him to post.

Thanks.

Bobby D,

Are you going to get on another Baseball team when you get back to Tulsa? I might be interested in getting up there on weekends if anyone else like you never really gave it up.

Marty,
I hit long frozen ropes now, not like back in the old days when a brotha was lucky to get some doubles, now I have some power. I don't want to hit off no 12-year-old kid, but in 6 years he might be ready for me! Big Grin

Mike,
I don't know about that, I know there are some senior leagues in the Tulsa area but I'm not sure if I want to keep playing. I'm gonna be 43 in Feb. but I can stil play, my arm is still pretty good too. Aren't you living in Texville though? That would be a long commute. I thought it was kind of nuts when I was living in Stillwater and playing NBC ball in Tulsa.

Marty,

I don't know if you'll remember anything about this, but have you made any ice cream comments lately? applaud I finally figured that one out, it's not always true!. busted

Bobby,

I drive about 60 miles a day to work. Comes with the metroplex, so it's not that big a deal to come up to Tulsa on the weekends. Especially, if the games are on Saturday and Sunday. Adult baseball is getting big in Dallas, and they have tournament teams. It was just a thought. I played recently and really hammered my index finger on my left hand. It's still not feeling after several months, so I'm thinking I better go back to catching with a batting glove. There are guys who play well into their fifties around here.
However, I think most of'em are crazy and have to organize the team.

Hi Pat,

Good to hear from you as well!! Last I heard, you were roaming the highways? Maybe we could talk some of these guys into a game some weekend? Or a 4th of July tournament team or something. If nothing else, we could just hang out at a centrally located golf course, fly some balls toward the cup, and drink gatorade. Are you still living around Tulsa, or maybe I remember something about Lawton? I dislike the fact that the reunions are only for the year you graduated. I wish that we could have them in three or four year blocks as well, but I don't know how pratical that would be. I be watching for a response Cobra

I never thought I ran like a spider? exploding

Mike
