I'm looking forward to the answer to this one. I can think of a few people who need to pop in on this thread.
As for me...I was involved as a wannabe actor, off and on, with community theater in Tulsa for a couple of years after graduation. I fell out of that for many years, then eventually got involved in a fund-raising capacity with the Wayward Theatre Company, which eventually evolved into Oklahoma Reperatory Theatre, aka OKRep (are they still going? If not, it's not my fault...). I was and always will be a wannabe filmmaker. Just have no clue where to start. I'd love to learn some of the high-end CGI systems, but I've barely mastered PhotoShop, so it may be a while. |

I'm not an "actor", but I've been involved in aspects of some of these industries. When I lived in Dallas I worked on projects at Los Colinas. Some of that included Talking Heads True Stories as an audio engineer. Did lots of still photography and some teleprompter work for industrials and commercials.
I snuck through a lot of the classes at NYU's film school. I had a girlfriend at the time who was a student there. We scripted and shot a lot of short films on 16mm film. I "acted" in some of them. Lots of hours logged on a Steenbeck editing machine. Have done post audio and foley work for programs like Sesame Street and ABC Wide World of Sports. Have done some music underscoring for commercials for companies like Duracell and Swatch. I've done event production for lots of "industry" parties, film openings and record releases in NYC. Co-founded the largest online community for documentary filmmakers with Doug Block, called The D-Word Community. Just did some stunt work the other night at a martial arts exhibition during the intermission for a "Tough Man" contest. Riley G, how'd you get involved with stunt work? |

I'm another Booker T-trained (c/o '95) actor that's still in "the biz." After undergrad and founding a theatre company in NYC, I'm back training at A.C.T. in San Francisco. Drop a line...

My brother, Chris Edmonds('77) is in New York. He has done plays in the past, but is now working on a one man show. He writes songs, etc. He has performed at several clubs there. He was in Tulsa last Aug. opening for Dan Piraro's one man show at the Nightingale. Anyone with connections and needing a 40-something actor feel free to contact me or him. One of these days he may actually become an overnight success!!! I hope so. I want him to be able to support his little sister in our old age.

First of all....
Clayton, how the heck are you. Please e-mail me. I miss you. How's "Cali?" I may be coming out this summer. However I will be in the L.A. area. Second.... I too am an actress from Booker T. still in the bizz. My brother is an actor as well. Actually so is my mother, my grandmother, and my grandmother's uncle. I am sure we have some more in there that I don't know about. However only Oli and I went to Booker T. Though mom taught at Carver for 5 years. Oli is in school in Washington and I live in NYC. Mostly I have done live theatre, but for the past year I have been focused on film/TV. It's been a lot of fun and I enjoy that too!! I have co-founded a theatre production company in NY, but right now we are back to the funding stage. I went to school at Webster Conservatory of Performing Arts at Webster University in St. Louis. I haven't done any stunt work, but I'm pretty darn good at stage combat. And I do ride horses, but alas no tricks. I just got an idea!! Much love and hugs, Sam |

Michelle,
As far as I know OKRep was doing well, but that was a couple of years ago. My mom used to work with Wayward just after that started. Maybe you know her. As far as film making, I would suggest starting by taking a class. It will lead to other things. Also, talk to as many people you can that are in that aspect of the business. Even if they don't really know what they are talking about, it can help you know what not to do. I think a class is a real good place to start. Who knows where it could lead even if it is just to a better / different class. Knowledge is power. Dan, You seem to have a lot of connections, hook us up. Loves and hugs, Sam |

I filmed a stunt driving scene on Law & Order SVU, episode "RITUAL" were I slide a NYPD patrol car in front of on oncoming Semi to stop it. Film this Dec. 19th, so the episode should air in two months. I wrapped on two feature films in late 2003. They were TAXI and STAY. Taxi was 2 days stunt driving police cars, and one day principal player as a NYPD Motorcycle cop (Cop # 2 at Airport). Stay was a great shoot for me as I was given the freedom to improvise my own scene with the other principal actors at a traffic accident scene on the Brooklyn Bridge (Officer #1). Hey there fellow Hornets! My name is Michelle c/o '93. Upon graduation I went to OU and got a degreee in Film and Video. 2 Days after graduation moved to LA. Since I've worked on 3 major films (WEDDING PLANNER & PAY IT FORWARD)as producers Assistant. I eventually want to produce films and run my own Production company.
Right now I am inbetween films and jobs and have just finished writing my first script. I am meeting with Lit Agents and Managers in hopes of getting representation. I hope all is well with all BTW alumni's. I'd love to hear from any of you! Best, Michelle Pinkney c/o '94 |

Hey Michelle, I don't know if you remember me. My name is David. I was a Funky D. I was a senior when you were a freshman. I'm glad to see that you're doing well. I'm still living in Tulsa. I've been a police officer here for 9 years. I enjoy it. The job never gets boring. I hope that you'll check your messages on here. I'd like to hear from you. Take it easy.
