The following October 2004 BTWHS.ORG Newsletter was sent out to all registered members of btwhs.org:

October 21, 2004

Hi BTW Alumni,

Hope everyone's doing well going into the Fall of 2004! The btwhs.org website has now been running in its new incarnation since September of 2003. Things are running smoothly and we now have 555 members and adding more all the time.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BTWHS.ORG NEEDS DONATIONS!

I started btwhs.org up again and have done all the webwork on the site as well as paying for the yearly domain registration and monthly webhosting fees ever since the site has been up. The monthly webhosting fees average about $50 per month.

I wanted to let the site run and see how everything went. And it's been going great! btwhs.org has helped many alumni reunite and find reunion information. It's time to turn over the financial responsibility of running the site to BTW alumni. I've personally invested a considerable chunk of change on the site so far. I'm not interested in "making money" from btwhs.org - we just need to help cover the future costs if the site is going to have a stable future and be there for all BTW alumni to use and enjoy for years to come.

Donating is simple: Stuff $1, $5, $10, $20 - or whatever - either in cash or a check and send to:

When btwhs.org went off the air several years ago, I was troubled that no one started up a website for BTW alumni. At some point I also realized that it was better that an adult alum webmaster the site rather than some of the many transient students at the BTW school.

I'm not living in Tulsa anymore. I am not opening a btwhs.org bank account and incurring even more fees. There's no "committee". This is lean and mean. I run the site and have since it was relaunched in September 2003. I want to keep it going and am more than willing to keep up with the webmaster work I've been doing on the site for over a year.

A running total of all donations will be kept in the "btwhs.org needs donations" topic in the "Announcements & Bulletin Board" forum at btwhs.org.

I'd also ask that any classes that have reunion announcements at btwhs.org please send a contribution - 'cause btwhs.org sure hooked you up. : )

Bottom line: If you've gotten something from btwhs.org and would like to continue to see it remain online for all BTW alumni - please send a few donations and support the BTW Alumni website!

Go Hornets!

If some of you got the October 2004 Newsletter in email and noticed a couple of typos - sue me. : )

It was late.

And yes I know the difference between its and it's. And for some reason – at the time – "stabile" looked like the right spelling for "stable". I even spellchecked it on Google. foreheadslap

OK, it appears that members have to opt IN to receive the newsletters, rather than opt OUT - which is the normal way that is handled on most internet registrations.

The first mailing I honored opt outs. I unclicked the honor opt out box just now and sent out another mass mailing.

I believe everyone should get this one!

We are going to see him this next weekend at a small lodge in Steeleville, Mo. We see him several times a year. Trust me he is a believer!! There are all types of religions and Gods. But trust me the man can sing and preach!!!
