I was doing some catching up on my emails and found several that stated Central Braves had been added to the scoreboard of our field. Had anyone heard this was going to happen?
I never heard about this. I think it's about time that the Tulsa Public Schools builds Central High School their own stadium. It is completely disrespectful to put another high schools name on our old school.
Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 4 pm at the Education Service Center, 3027 S. New Haven; will be our opportunity to discuss the scoreboard installed by Stephanie Spring at the Booker T. Washington Hornets' S. E.Williams stadium in August, 2006.
MsDeyon, If you're going to attend the meeting at the ESC, would you let me know how that goes. This is in reference to the Central High School being added to Booker T. Washington's score board. In case the Education Service Center hasn't noticed, Booker T. Washington is the home of the HORNETS, not the braves. I think the last thing you want to do is make anyone that graduated from the "T" mad because nothing stings worse than a HORNET.
BTW scoreboard meeting 4 pm January 4 at the Education Service Center, 3027 S New Haven
I requested a 7 pm meeting in the BTW auditorium that would have been more convenient for most wanting to attend. I accepted the 4 pm meeting at the ESC to give us the opportunity to express our feelings about the new scoreboard that was installed in August. I made the initial request for this meeting September 2, 2006.
We know that everyone will not be able to get inside the meeting room, and will not be able to state their feelings individually; but we do want everyone to come to the Education Service Center to show your support for this issue. If you have not already done so, please reply to jzeiglerja@aol.com to share your thoughts with us. We will summarize those thoughts and questions, and discuss them at this meeting.
We do not agree that Stephanie Spring should have replaced the working scoreboard in S. E. Williams Stadium (which is the home of the BTW Hornets) with a scoreboard displaying the team name of the high school currently sharing Hornet stadium. We accept the fact that our stadium is the home stadium for another high school, as well as a middle school. We do not agree we should see a team name other than the Booker T. Washington Hornets every time we enter the stadium.
Remember that paraphrase
If you believe in something, You will fight for it. If you aren't willing to fight for it, You deserve to be dictated to.
Hope to see each of you on the fourth. Please try to respond by 2 pm Tuesday, January 2, 2007.
