Hey, This is Val

Dan this is great!! Hey Joe, how you doing?
are you still playing your clarinet? I'm livig in Houston, Texas where I teach music at Dowling Middle School. I'm still playing my horn. I'm on baritone sax with a local jazz band. Say Keath, are you still playing? It's good to know that you all are doing well. Say, does anyone knows what Bill been up too?

I get so excited, seeing the post and the new names popping up. Val, good to have you on board, where is Eric? I've been in touch with Marion Ross I don't think he's registered yet. Monica, girl how are you? email me. I just got off line with Darryl Troupe and he should be posting soon.
I've also pulled out the yearbook to match names with faces. I'm frantically working on getting this reuion together. I will post the updates under the reunion forum.

Val Gene! That is great! I remember our band days quite fondly. I haven't picked up the alto sax or clarinet in about ten years. Seems like yesterday.

Remember Renee Winston? Last I saw her, she was a Tulsa Cop!!!!!

Hey, Aundrea, Eric and my youngest brother, Adrian are in Houston. Eric is a cosmetologist.
Say Joe, it good to hear from you, we go way back, Cleveland Junior High. Have you heard anything about Ms. Bankhead, our Junior High band teacher?
I heard Renee was a cop. I haven't seen in years. Dan do you know how to reach Bill?

Hi everyone. I just started a new posting asking where the 78ers were and then I found this. I am Susan Edmonds. I am still in Tulsa. Working for the state. I am mom to a wonderful 3 year old. I was happy to see this site and am seeing at least a few familiar names. I see what we had a reunion. I live across the street from one of the planners, but I never made it to the meetings. I guess she thought I was not interested because I never heard anything. Hope they had fun.
I went to the BTW open house for the new school. It is definately beautiful. Of course it will take some time to develop it's identity. An old school with crumbling ceilings and walls definately has it's own character.
Susan

I have lived in Huntington Beach, CA for the last 11 years. In 1999 I graduated from Loyola Marymount University with honors in English. I spent 12 years in New York trying to start an acting career with limited success. I am now working on my first novel as well as a few other writing projects. I am wondering what happened to our class of 78 since what has happened in my life since BTW has been so different than what I expected. I look forward to any and all communications.

I now live in Colorado with my husband, Steve Jackson, and our two daughters (Taylor and Leah). I worked as a television news producer and writer for several years and went back to college a couple years ago to get my M.S. degree. I am now teaching broadcast journalism at Colorado State University and working on a Ph.D. in Media Economics. I would enjoy hearing from old friends. Patti Parker, where are you?

Hey Hornets! Little did I know that my time at Carver Middle and BTW would be so influencial in my life. After graduation from TU, I spent the next 5 yrs teaching Spanish, then married and moved to Miami, Florida. I spent ten years teaching in the worse ghetto high schools in Miami, and loving every minute of it. I finished the Masters degree I had started at OSU at the University of Miami, in Teaching English as a Second Language. Remember those Cuban rafters and Haitian boatlift refugees you saw on CNN? Those were my students, along with kids from every corner of the world. I owe my background in becoming a Citizen of the World to the first-class education in diversity and acceptance that I learned at BTW. I left Miami in 1997, and my two kids and I moved to Orlando, Fl. I am an administrator now, overseeing the ESOL Department in a great Middle school. Another milestone in my life was getting wiped out by Hurricane Andrew when I worked at Homestead Sr. High School.

I emailed the people listed above about the site as well.

No wonder you`re all mixed up. You got a white man`s 1st name, a Spanish man`s 2nd name and a black man`s 3rd name.
